Shalom to you!
We arrived back in KL on the 18th after four days of fellowship with God and our beloved brothers and sisters in Narrowstreet. This year's camp was definitely much more relaxed than the previous years', so much so that we had about 5 hours of free time on Day 3! Our game groups also had very interesting names: Tatsu, Stehen, Aamad, Estando, Steko, Soda, Tollerera, Selever and last but not least Neerzetten.
This year our teams were asked to lug about for the duration of the camp something extremely fragile: raw eggs. Each team had 11 of them, and were expected to keep them all intact. On each egg was written: Ephesians 6:11. Alas, at the end of the camp only 1 team had all their eggs: Team Neerzetten.
All that aside, Pastor Sam Phun was AWESOME. (He performed some amazing magic tricks; the most impressive one was transforming some pieces of old magazines into SING. DOLLARS and back again.) Here are some of the most important things he said during the 4 sessions:
1) Romans 8:28- and we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
2) When to enter into a relationship (very important!): "When you love God and have found your purpose in life."
3) We already have attention from God! We don't need attention from anyone else. Don't act cool, YOU ARE COOL!
4) Men must speak up for the truth.
5) Sow (time, talents and finances into the purpose of God) and you will reap.
He also taught us a new 'Yo! Whatsup!' sign: hold up your index, middle and ring fingers. Huh? What does that mean?
Answer: Father, Son, Holy Spirit!
Haha! Gotcha. Expect to see more of it in Narrowstreet @ SIBKL.
Best of all, many prayed the Sinner's Prayer for the first time and many others re-dedicated their lives to Jesus. On the last night, almost all the campers came forward and told God, "Here am I, send me!"
Lastly, please pray for Charles Stephen and Deloris Au Joey that they might come to Christ soon.
In Jesus' most precious name,
Agent Joshua L.
